new shoes

I forgot to post the picture of the new shoes I´ve made. I put it on facebook but not here.
I´ve been makeing sneakers in clay before but now I tried the same pattern but with fabric and it worked this time =) so I did some in different colors. 3 pairs have been sold already =)
Today I have been watching a movie and cut more fabric for more shoes.
It's fun to
do them because I have the opportunity to do them in so many different colors. I´m thinking of maybe put them up on my etsy.

recent projects

I have been able to do much miniature work lately. I becomes a train that can not be stopped once I get started. I's fun that everything has gone so smoothly, but now I notice how tired I get of crafting. It's probably the other way around for many, they do it to relax. Of course, it can be relaxing for me too but it takes a lot of energy. But it's nice to have done some things that I'm going to sell at the fair.

These are some
of my recent projects. I have made a table, chair. lights, a canvas, and a bench. Mostly I do things inspired by pictures of things or real furniture. However, the table, bench and chair are my own designs =) All of a sudden I got an idea how I wanted a chair, but has never made a chair before so I had to look on the internet how I would do it. This is made of matboard because it´s a test, but then I'll do it in wood. a little bigger, I think that it must be. I´m going to to make a lot of different kinds of lights later. It will be fun!

room and "real tv"

I bought the cardboard to make shelves for the fair, but it was the beginning of a house instead =) I was looking for inspiration and found this "house". I was going to see if I can build one myself =) so it became finnished yesterday. Then I found more stuff that this man has done and was inspired to do a "real TV".
Oh how happy you can be when you see the miniatures come to life =)
It is far from complete but I just wanted to show you in the process =) It was a bit hard to film with the webcam but you can see a little bit at least =)

I'll show more pictures later when it's done!

Mini Lundby house

I'm so happy!
I finished this Lundby house today, that should be in a 1:12 house.
I put up pictures of the facebook group for miniaturister that I'm in, and became completely inundated with comments about the house =) I'm so touched =)
Because there were so many people like it, Im considering making one to which I can sell. Maybe a particular style or if any one is interested, maybe customized.

But I dont know what I would be able to charge for it ...
What would you pay for such a house?

I've done a few miniatures lately, but not put out on the blog. I will try to post some of the things I've done. I have finally bought things so that there can be lights in my  rooms.
I'm into
lamp design in real size so it will be so fun to do some in miniature too =)
Here are two lamps that I´ve made:

Mini Converse Shoes

I have not blogged for a long time now. I made some miniatures, but have not managed to post any pictures yet. Last night I finished a pair of shoes. I have thought about making shoes for a long time, but it's so hard to do high-heeled shoes.
So I thought I would start by making converse shoes instead.
This is the result =)

Would you like to help me make a magazine?

Would some of you contribute photos to a miniature-miniature magazine? I like makeing magazines or other things in photoshop, and have been thinking of doing a miniature magazine about miniatures =) Since I cant take pictures of other people's pages, and I have not so good pictures myself, I wonder if some of you may like to give some or your pictures to me that I can use? If there are many who want to help, maybe it will be a really good magazine that you are able to subscribe to even ;) but if you want to help me with my first magazine, please write a comment to this post and a link to your post where I can borrow text and images. I will ofcourse write that it is from your site inside the little magazine =)
thank you!

Paper doilies

I found a tutorial how to make cake paper (doilies). They're really cute and pretty simple to make. I just used a pin to make the holes, but if you want you can do as in the tutorial and attach a needle to a craft knife or similarHere is the link to snowferm´s page:

Expedit shelfs

I ordered a lot of balsa wood and strips of different wood types last week. I have wanted to start making furniture, and has so far just made the furniture of foamboard, but now I want to do it "for real".
I had no idea what sizes of wood I would need, so I bought a little of everything. The first thing I was going to build was a "Expedit" shelf from ikea. I thought it would be in 1:12, and the person who "lives there" would like miniatures as well, so the expedit shelf should be different room boxes =) I have wanted to by Blythe dolls myself, but they are soo expensive so I decided that I should make Blythe dolls in miniature and have in the miniature shelf =
I got a real size shelf from a kind friend and thought it was perfect to have my miniatures as a small exhibition in the living room. So yesterday I got the packages in the mail with all the wood. In the evening when my son had fallen asleep, I started to build.
So the result was a Expedit shelf in 1:12. Then I figured out how big a 1:6 shelf would be in 1:12, and made one that was even smaller than the first. Now I'll start making small Blythe dolls too =) It will be fun!

Here is a mini mini Expedit shelf inside a 1:12 Expedit shelf, inside a 1:1 Expedit shelf =)

Linda´s Wedding Cake!

My neighbor was at her friend Linda's wedding, then I saw that they had posted pictures on Facebook from the big day. I saw the wedding cake and immediately thought: I have to make this cake in miniature! It is sooo nice!
So yesterday, I started to "bake" the cake. I never made roses before but found a good tutorial.
I could not get  the lace pattern right, but there is a little structure anyway.

I asked Linda if it's ok to post a picture of the original cake so that you too can see how it looked. A very beautiful wedding cake!

Now it's done and this is the result:

Dresses

I have tried to make miniature clothes before, but gave up because it was so difficult to sew. But now I've borrowed a sewing machine again and decided to try again. I found a pattern on a dress that you can do looot of  variations to, so I tested it. I did three variations of that pattern, then I did a crossover dress too. I realized that it is easier to glue the seams instead of sewing.
In my vision in my head, there was little buttons on the dress so I did tiny little buttons in Fimo too. I did quite a lot of them, so I can use it in other projects as well. It was sooo relaxing to sit and make these dresses. almost like when you are knitting or crocheting. This is what I love about my miniature hobby, that you can vary what you do all the time and there are lot of different things though everything is still miniatures. It is so much fun!
I have always been
fascinated of all pretty clothes to Blythe dolls. I get so inspired!
Now I would really like to have a Blythe doll, but they are soooo expensive! It would be fun with any doll that you can bend the joints on. So if anyone of you who read my blog has a doll that you can spare, let me know ;)
This is what my first dresses looks like...

What I got this weekend =)

My mom found a small shop in a small village where the woman who owned the store also sold miniatures. Mom took me there this weekend and I got to choose what I wanted and she gave it to me in 30 years birthday gift. I have to go back there some other time and buy more =)
