Mini Lundby house

I'm so happy!
I finished this Lundby house today, that should be in a 1:12 house.
I put up pictures of the facebook group for miniaturister that I'm in, and became completely inundated with comments about the house =) I'm so touched =)
Because there were so many people like it, Im considering making one to which I can sell. Maybe a particular style or if any one is interested, maybe customized.

But I dont know what I would be able to charge for it ...
What would you pay for such a house?

Let there be light!

I've done a few miniatures lately, but not put out on the blog. I will try to post some of the things I've done. I have finally bought things so that there can be lights in my  rooms.
I'm into
lamp design in real size so it will be so fun to do some in miniature too =)
Here are two lamps that I´ve made:

Mini Converse Shoes

I have not blogged for a long time now. I made some miniatures, but have not managed to post any pictures yet. Last night I finished a pair of shoes. I have thought about making shoes for a long time, but it's so hard to do high-heeled shoes.
So I thought I would start by making converse shoes instead.
This is the result =)

My new 1:144 house

I'm building a 1:144 house right now. I started yesterday and was up to 4 am.
I tend to be so self-critical whenever I do miniatures and often find that the result is not as I had imagined. But this house, I think will be nice =)
Last time I used only paper walls and ceiling, but now I used balsa wood. It was much easier. I'm going to finish the roof now, then I'll start with the porch. It is really fun to build =)

More dolls

I made a few more dolls. The first doll I did had hair extention that I had cut to fit the mini doll. But now I tried to use the wool that are used for needle felting. They do not look like I had wished so finally I gave up and printed out pictures of Blythe dolls instead. =)

I found a tutorial how to make cake paper (doilies). They're really cute and pretty simple to make. I just used a pin to make the holes, but if you want you can do as in the tutorial and attach a needle to a craft knife or similarHere is the link to snowferm´s page:

Mini Blythe doll

As I wrote in my last post, I am going to do some mini blythe dolls in my 1:12 expedit shelf.
I chose to do a "Middie Blythe". It is 20 cm in reality, so I made it as small as it would be in 1:12.
But I have to redo the smallest shelf, because I had built it as it would be if the dolls were in 1:6 but it's supposed to be smaller because it is the large Blythe doll that is in 1:6 scale. I figured  it to be 1:8 for Middie Blythe. So I'm going to do a new mini shelf later.
Anyway, this is my Blythe doll. The body I made of Fimo, I cut small squares and glued on as a dress. I have hair extensions in different colors and decided to try to make a brown-haired doll. I glued  hair and drew eyes. I did not find my colors so I just did black eyes on the first. later I´ll make dolls that look more like the original. But it was fun to do this small =)
Tomorrow I'll do more dolls and furniture.

Expedit shelfs

I ordered a lot of balsa wood and strips of different wood types last week. I have wanted to start making furniture, and has so far just made the furniture of foamboard, but now I want to do it "for real".
I had no idea what sizes of wood I would need, so I bought a little of everything. The first thing I was going to build was a "Expedit" shelf from ikea. I thought it would be in 1:12, and the person who "lives there" would like miniatures as well, so the expedit shelf should be different room boxes =) I have wanted to by Blythe dolls myself, but they are soo expensive so I decided that I should make Blythe dolls in miniature and have in the miniature shelf =
I got a real size shelf from a kind friend and thought it was perfect to have my miniatures as a small exhibition in the living room. So yesterday I got the packages in the mail with all the wood. In the evening when my son had fallen asleep, I started to build.
So the result was a Expedit shelf in 1:12. Then I figured out how big a 1:6 shelf would be in 1:12, and made one that was even smaller than the first. Now I'll start making small Blythe dolls too =) It will be fun!

Here is a mini mini Expedit shelf inside a 1:12 Expedit shelf, inside a 1:1 Expedit shelf =)

Linda´s Wedding Cake!

My neighbor was at her friend Linda's wedding, then I saw that they had posted pictures on Facebook from the big day. I saw the wedding cake and immediately thought: I have to make this cake in miniature! It is sooo nice!
So yesterday, I started to "bake" the cake. I never made roses before but found a good tutorial.
I could not get  the lace pattern right, but there is a little structure anyway.

I asked Linda if it's ok to post a picture of the original cake so that you too can see how it looked. A very beautiful wedding cake!

Now it's done and this is the result:

Dresses

I have tried to make miniature clothes before, but gave up because it was so difficult to sew. But now I've borrowed a sewing machine again and decided to try again. I found a pattern on a dress that you can do looot of  variations to, so I tested it. I did three variations of that pattern, then I did a crossover dress too. I realized that it is easier to glue the seams instead of sewing.
In my vision in my head, there was little buttons on the dress so I did tiny little buttons in Fimo too. I did quite a lot of them, so I can use it in other projects as well. It was sooo relaxing to sit and make these dresses. almost like when you are knitting or crocheting. This is what I love about my miniature hobby, that you can vary what you do all the time and there are lot of different things though everything is still miniatures. It is so much fun!
I have always been
fascinated of all pretty clothes to Blythe dolls. I get so inspired!
Now I would really like to have a Blythe doll, but they are soooo expensive! It would be fun with any doll that you can bend the joints on. So if anyone of you who read my blog has a doll that you can spare, let me know ;)
This is what my first dresses looks like...

The fairy garden and some macaroons

Me and my son did the "fairy garden". He thought it was pretty fun to do. But I wanted to do a lot more in the garden, but there were no stones in the woods so I could not do that.
As the perfectionist I am, I was quite disappointed that we couldnt do what I had in my head, but I have to let these kinds of thoughts go when I do things with my son and leave it on a child's level =) But this is how it turned out:

I've wanted to make macaroons but I have thought that it seemed difficult to make them so small and make the "foot". But I made a mold and made many at the same time. I'll make cute boxes for them later.
Here are macaroons in three shades:

Fairy garden preparations

Now I'm finally healthy again!
It's boring to just lie on the couch and do nothing.
On Thursday, my son is coming home (I have him every other week right now) and we are going to make a fairy garden in the woods. I have prepared some things that we will take with us out. I shall glue a door and window on to a tree and then we'll make decorations outside the "house", with stones and  things we can find in the forest. I made a fence that should be there, too, and I´m thinking to make a mailbox.
I hope it will be good weather this weekend =)
Take care!
Hugs

Schnauzer

I know I have been bad at responding to the comments that I get. You write such nice things and I would like to respond to every one. Sometimes I would like to write more and get to know you more but it feels so weird to write "letters" on my own blog. Maybe email? Would like to comment more often myself too on your blogs. But I guess that some of you know what I mean, that in certain periods, one might have more or less time to answer everyone. but please keep comment so I know you read my blog =) I appreciate all my readers very much! And you are doing so amazingly beautiful miniatures too!

Soon I meant to have a diffrent kind of swap. You get to know more later =)

I have settled on the couch. I have a fever and have not been able to do anything for 2 days, so the couch is my only friend right now haha. Today I still though I would make the
final touch on the schnauzer that was almost ready.

Here is the results:

Take care everyone! Hugs!

My friends barbecue minis =)

I have come to know a new friend, and one evening we was at my place and played board games and since he is also creative I thought we could do a little miniatures together, and he thought it would be fun.
I was a little surprised because it's not that many guys who would like to do miniatures to get to know each other. But he was really good at it! You can see that he has the talent to create things =)
It's been really nice weather here in Sweden recently, so he was probably eager to have a barbecue =)
